This afternoon, Tulsa Public Schools announced the district’s 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year. Superintendent Deborah A. Gist surprised Monroe Demonstration Academy teacher Laura Grisham at her school to name her as the 2020-2021 Tulsa Public Schools Teacher of the Year.
Tulsa Public Schools newest teachers wrapped up a week of learning in the Tulsa Way Academy today. The five-day virtual event will be followed up with five additional days of professional development for all district teachers in preparation for the upcoming school year.
We are enthusiastic about welcoming your children back to learning in the 2020-2021 school year! While our school experiences will look and feel different this year, our teachers and school leaders will engage our students in rigorous learning, build and sustain meaningful teacher/student relationships, and keep children and families connected to their schools even, at times, from a safe distance.
